We are Winners!

We entered two teams into the Primary Jaguar Challenge, which is a competition to design a working race car powered by compressed air. The children had to design the car’s bodywork, taking into consideration its weight and aerodynamic properties, and also create a pit display with all of their branding. Alongside this, they had to keep a portfolio showcasing the work that had gone into the project. On the day of the competition, the children had to present to industry professionals about their design and then race. Our teams also secured a sponsorship deal with a local businessman, Trevor Wakefield who runs Envirotile. Our Golden Eagles won the award for the best pit display and branding, and the STEM Gems won the award for fastest car. The STEM Gems then went on to win the entire Regional Finals and are now working towards their design to compete at the National Finals next week (good luck girls!). We are incredibly proud of both of our teams.
Overall winners: The STEM Gems – Amalie Agyeman, Sophie Kapalo, Sophie Nuhu and Freya-Louise Child
Other winners: The Golden Eagles – Joshua Bailey, Suriyah Wheeler, Mohamed Eltayeb and Manraj Singh
