Principal

My name is Maddie Griffin and it was my pleasure to be appointed as the Head Teacher of Hadley Learning Community - Primary Phase, in 2017. Before joining HLC I worked in several large primary schools in Yorkshire and also supported primary schools to drive improvements in teaching and learning. I was an external moderator for the Local Authority and delivered teaching and learning development courses, offering school-to-school support. Teaching is my passion and I believe that that every child in my care has the right to the highest quality of education, giving pupils the skills to succeed in all they do. I strive to make school an inspirational haven for every student, where they are encouraged to make every second count and through perseverance and hard work, go from strength to strength and dream bigger every day.

Mr. Ben Evans
Headteacher

As Headteacher of HLC Primary, I feel privileged to work alongside dedicated and talented members of staff to provide a high-quality education experience for every child in our care. Prior to joining HLC,  I had worked in Wolverhampton with teaching experience across the primary phase and have led both key stage 1 and mathematics. I am also a trained moderator and have completed my NPQ Senior Leadership qualification and I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge I have acquired to the benefit of my colleagues and pupils.

Mrs. Samantha Armstrong
Deputy Headteacher

I started my career teaching in a large village school in Shropshire before moving to Telford.
In September 2006 I was appointed to the Early Years Team Leader at HLC. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to lead a team of staff and children in a brand new school. During my time at HLC I have worked across the Early Years and Key Stage one, leading on Phonics and Reading. I was promoted to the role of Deputy Head Teacher in 2016.

Miss. Rachael Harris

I first arrived at HLC in 2018 with several vans full of crazy things including - a very large dragon, Aslan the lion, two large flying birds, Zazu, three hyenas, two giraffes, a giant egg, two colour clouds, a large signpost to the town park and an intense drive to make learning exciting for the children at HLC. I want our children to absolutely love learning and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the HLC team to create an exciting and bespoke curriculum for every child to sink their teeth into. During my teaching career I have had experience in schools in both Telford and Wolverhampton.  I am currently one of the Y6 teachers and I was successfully appointed to the  Assistant Headteacher for KS2 in September 2020.
