On Tuesday 23rd May HLC primary opened its doors to the parents/carers for the annual Science afternoon. The children were thoroughly looking forward to the event and the excitement grew as the day got closer. It certainly didn’t disappoint! With over 150 parents attending, the children were able to demonstrate their scientific skills through a variety of experiments and investigations. They were encouraged to work scientifically throughout the afternoon, using their own methods and resources to solve problems. It was fabulous to see so many children solving these problems with smiles on their faces and using the correct vocabulary.
A big thank you to all those who attended, your continued support is greatly appreciated and the feedback provided will enable the school to put together an action plan for science moving into 2017/2018.
