Today saw the opening of our Careers & Enterprise Hub. This is where we can focus on the planning and delivery of bespoke personal development education for all our students. The plans and projects we have and those in the pipeline are really going to make the difference to hundreds of our students, bringing them closer to a successful world-of-work outcome.
We are also very pleased to share with our business friends our Gatsby Gold award. HLC Secondary are the first school in Telford & Wrekin to be awarded Gold as we have achieved all Gatsby 8 Benchmarks. These are the guidelines which schools follow to ensure we offer the best enterprise education to our students.
A personal thank you goes out to Saint Gobain, RBSL, ReAssure, J&PR Ltd, Mrs Russell’s Sweets & Treats, T&W Council, Avara, Future Focus, Aico, Dyke Yaxley, Aspire to HE, Wolverhampton University and Ercall Wood. And Mayor Cllr Stephen Reynolds who kindly opened our Careers Hub and presented our Gold Award.
Our next move will inevitably be to encourage our subject leaders to meet as many of our business friends so that we can further demonstrate how subject lessons are continually of value in the current employment market.
We are really proud to also say, that everyone who visited, without fail, were bowled over with our students who were exemplary.
