Accessing Exam Results

Dear Parent/ Carer,
As we come to the end of a very different school year for Year 11, I want to pass on our appreciation from all of us at Hadley Learning Community for your many messages of support during the most difficult of times. We were pleased to see so many Year 11 students return to pick up their Year Books and to have an opportunity to meet with their tutors. 2020 so far has been a year of unprecedented events and change. When schools closed, lessons moved online, and we learned that Year 11 exams would not be taking place we never could have imagined the impact this would have on our students and families.

I am grateful for your kind words about the level of communication you have received from school and that this has kept you informed and reassured about the steps we have taken to support Year 11. It has been a long time to stay motivated and enthused about learning and we applaud our students’ resilience.

I would like to give you some key information regarding accessing your exam results. As you may be aware, the results will be released to students on Thursday 20th August. Due to COVID19 guidance we are unable to have any gatherings within the school, as such we will be unable to invite students in to collect their final grades.

All exam grades will be emailed out to your child’s school email accounts on the morning of Thursday 20th August. A copy will also be sent in the post to home addresses on the same day. Any further guidance regarding the Autumn exam series will be sent to you when this is made available to the school.

It is important that your child is able to access their school email account as we are unable to send exam results to a private email address. Please ask your child to check that they are able to access this account. This is usually done via Office 365. If they are still unable to do so they must email stephanie.brown@lct.education who will forward their request onto the IT department.

If on results day your child is still unable to access their results then they can contact school on 01952 387000 but please be aware that there may be some delay in responding and we will not be able to give results verbally over the phone.

I would also like to take this opportunity to reassure you that Future Focus will be available throughout the summer should you need any advice or support regarding post-16 applications. Please visit the school careers webpage for information from external advisors. https://hadleylearningcommunity.org.uk/secondary/careers/

Finally, I am very sorry to say that due to government guidance we have had to cancel the HLC Prom. We were hoping to rearrange this for the Autumn Term but sadly this will not be permissible given the regulations on gatherings. All refunds for Prom tickets will be posted home.

Please do have a lovely summer holiday, keep safe and well and keep in touch with us.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs. S Brown
Assistant Headteacher
