The safeguarding of our students is of paramount importance throughout the year, not just when they are in school. With the summer holidays fast approaching, we would like to ensure that all our parents and carers feel confident that they know when and where to seek help for their child. Telford and Wrekin Local Authority have asked schools to forward the following leaflet to help raise awareness of child sexual exploitation. Therefore, please do read the attached guidance leaflet. If you have any questions in relation to the information provided, the contact details for Family Connect are provided within the leaflet. This is a year round service, but while schools are closed, Family Connect will be available throughout the summer holidays to support you if needed.

Child sexual exploitation is a vile crime that disgusts all right thinking people. Sadly, it takes place all over the country. We all have a part to play in looking out for signs of child sexual exploitation and reporting any concerns.
