CSE Guide for Parents & Carers

25th July, 2022

Date Published: 25th July, 2022

The safeguarding of our students is of paramount importance throughout the year, not just when they are in school. With the summer holidays fast approaching, we would like to ensure that all our parents and carers feel confident that they know when and where to seek help for their child. Telford and Wrekin Local Authority have asked schools to forward the following leaflet to help raise awareness of child sexual exploitation. Therefore, please do read the attached guidance leaflet. If you have any questions in relation to the information provided, the contact details for Family Connect are provided within the leaflet. This is a year round service, but while schools are closed, Family Connect will be available throughout the summer holidays to support you if needed.

A message from Telford & Wrekin: Keeping children and young people safe from harm is the most important thing we can all do.

Child sexual exploitation is a vile crime that disgusts all right thinking people. Sadly, it takes place all over the country. We all have a part to play in looking out for signs of child sexual exploitation and reporting any concerns. Further information is available in the guidance leaflet, provided here for download:
