2020 Examination Results
In 2020 we were delighted to report yet another year of excellent GCSE examination results. It has been a challenging year for all students, but I am delighted that Year 11 have achieved the grades they deserve that will allow them to move on to college and apprenticeships. I feel very proud of our students and how they managed the final months of their GCSEs throughout the difficulties presented by COVID19.
HLC has continued to make excellent progress, students have again achieved significantly above national average progress (+0.58). Attainment 8 has also increased from 47.1 to 48.6 whilst the number of students achieving a standard pass in English and Maths has increased by 9% to 68% and students achieving a strong pass has also increased by 9% from 32% to 41%. We are very pleased to report that currently all our 2020 cohort students are in settled placements.
