Welcome to the HLC Secondary Parents Zone. Below are links and information regarding the software and systems that will allow you to view your child’s information, such as attendance, grades, exam information and also classwork that your child has ben set. We have also added links to important school information making it easier for you to find the information that you need.
My Child at School
HLC uses Bromcom for our CMS system which gives you the ability to provide you with academic information regarding your child at school via a web portal called My Child At School (MCAS) as well as an app for your smartphones. All parents have been sent in the post a letter which provides a password and ID to enable them to log on.
MCAS – A Brief Introduction
By using MCAS parents are able to look at a wealth of information for their child including their child’s attendance, school timetable and exam times. MCAS is linked directly into our School Management System which means that all the information is continuously updated in real time and available 24 hours a day.
As well as pupil performance data, the portal also provides general information about the school such as the school calendar and any important announcements. In the future we will be including additional information such as behaviour and assessment so parents will also be able to see how well their child is doing at school.
How do I access the My Child At School (MCAS) system
Security of information is of paramount importance to us so all accounts are individually password-protected to ensure information is only available to the registered parent of the child and the child’s teachers at school.

To access your child’s details, you will need to enter your personal password and login details, which have been issued by letter and posted out from the school. If at any time you forget your login details please click on the ‘Forgotten login details’ link and follow the instructions. Here is a quick login guide.
Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
Your child has access to FREE Office Software, their school OneDrive and Emails.
1. Go to https://login.microsoftonline.com/
2. Enter your school email address. Your email is your account username followed by‘@lct.education’. For example, John Smith’s email would be ‘email@example.com’ (remember to include a number if you have one)
3. Once you’ve entered this email, you will quickly be redirected to the school’s login page. The email you entered will still be there, you just need to fill in the password field.
4. Your password is the same as the one you log in with at school.
After login you can access and save school work in your OneDrive and you can also install a full copy of Microsoft Office on you computer by clicking Install Office at the top right of the screen on your dashboard.
