Welcome to the SEND and Learning Support Page.
Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning, but also capable of succeedingRobert John Meehan
HLC has gained an excellent reputation for our special educational needs provision, and our focus is about working together to support you in all aspects of school life. We believe that you deserve a broad, balanced educational experience where you can be fully included. This means that we encourage you to become as independent as possible in recognising and managing your own needs.
Our Inclusion provision is based around five core principles that fit within the school pastoral ethos of achievement and wellbeing:
- Trust in the people around us
- Communicate and build partnerships with others
- Find connexions with other people
- Be perceptive of the needs of others
On here you will find a variety of support materials to help you develop your understanding of who you are and how you learn best, and we are adding to this library all the time.
Choose resource that help you and use them as much or as little as you need to, when you need to.
If you are struggling with any of your learning, then the first thing you can do to help yourself, is to ask for our help. You can ask your teacher, or you can ask a member of the SEND and Learning Support Team. You can find our contact details below:
