I was appointed as Head of Secondary at HLC in September 2010, having been Deputy Head at the school since January 2009. Prior to this, my career has been based in Sandwell, most recently at the Shireland Collegiate Academy. I was the Director of Sport before leading a consortium of 6th form colleges.

Prior to my appointment at HLC in September 2013, I began my career as Head of English in inner London. I then worked in Cheshire as a Director of Languages before being appointed Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning.

I was appointed as Deputy Headteacher of Secondary at HLC in September 2010, having been Assistant Headteacher and Head of Humanities at the school since its opening. Prior to this I taught at Orleton Park School in Wellington.

I started my career teaching Physical Education, Maths and ICT in South Staffordshire before moving to Shropshire to become Assistant Subject Leader for PE (also teaching Geography). I joined HLC as Head of PE/Assistant Faculty Leader for the Arts when the school opened in September 2006 where I have also taught Business, ICT, Science and Humanities. Since then I have been Assistant Headteacher before being appointed to my current position in September 2013.

I started my teaching career in Birmingham prior to relocating to Telford. HLC, who I joined in September 2006 when it opened, is my second school in Telford and one I initially joined as a teacher of Mathematics. I held the position of Subject Leader for Mathematics at the school for three years before being appointed Assistant Headteacher in September 2013.  Alongside my senior role, I continue to teach Mathematics.

I joined HLC in September 2012 to take up the role of Director of Engineering and then moved into the role of Assistant Headteacher in September 2013. I initially taught Design and Technology in two secondary schools in Staffordshire from 2001, prior to moving to Shropshire in 2008, where I was appointed as Head of Design & Technology at BRJ Catholic College.

I joined HLC in September 2013 having spent the first part of my career in the southern counties. During the first 15 years of my career I taught Modern Foreign Languages, Work Skills and Personal and Social Development. I later became Team Leader for Behaviour Support and Alternative Curriculum as well as Literacy Coordinator. Latterly I have worked in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, as is my role here at HLC.
